Frequently Asked Questions

If you don't see your question answered below, just give us a call and we'll be happy to chat with you!

  • What is the difference between Quartz and Quartzite?

Quartzite is a natural stone. It is the toughest, most durable stone (not indestructible, it can still stain, chip, and scratch). Quartz is a man-made stone and is the second most durable stone. It is typically more expensive than Quartzite.

  • What are examples of natural stones?

Granite, Marble, Quartzite, Dolomite, and Soapstone are examples of natural stones. Due to the chemicals within the stone, a polished finish on natural stone may have spots that don’t shine. Natural stones are suggested for use inside since the elements may have a negative impact on natural stones.

  • What are the do's and don’ts for natural stone?

    • Don’t step on seams or ledges
    • Don’t use soap and water to clean since this can damage the sealant used.
    • Do use cleaners that are ammonia-free, granite/stone cleaners, like Windex.
  • What is an example of a man-made stone?

Quartz is an example of a man-made stone. If you’re looking for perfection, man-made stone is better for you. Quartz can be used indoors and outdoors.
